"Commissioned as part of the French TV series Cinéma, de notre temps, this intimate documentary portrait of nouvelle vague icon Jacques Rivette follows the filmmaker as he and critic Serge Daney lounge in cafés and wander the streets of Paris, reflecting on Rivette’s films, background, and aesthetic philosophy in between numerous other digressions.
