Champagne

Synopsis

A millionaire (Gordon Harker) decides to teach his irresponsible daughter (Betty Balfour) a lesson by pretending he has lost all his money, forcing her to earn her own living.

Hitchcock's comedy has some experimental flourishes, including a series of shots through a raised champagne glass, however the director later reflected to Francois Truffaut that it "was probably the lowest ebb in my output".
