Diamonds Of The Night

Diamonds Of The Night

Jan Němec’s debut feature chronicles the journey of two teenage boys trying to stay alive after having escaped a train bound for a Nazi concentration camp. Told almost without dialogue, the film is a landmark of the ill-fated Czech New Wave and its theme of man's struggle to preserve human dignity in the face of horror is universal.
