Synopsis
An American crime reporter (
Joel McCrea) is sent to London by his editor to bring a fresh angle to reports on the rise in power of Nazi Germany. Naïve and wholly ignorant of international affairs, he launches himself eagerly onto the London scene. He then witnesses the assassination of a Dutch diplomat at terrifying close hand and soon finds himself deeply embroiled in the workings of an international spy ring.
