Rich And Strange

Rich And Strange

Synopsis

Married couple Fred and Emily Hill (Henry Kendall and Joan Barry) are bored of their humdrum lives and long to escape. They write to wealthy relatives to get their inheritance in advance and go on a world cruise. However, suddenly rich, their love starts to crumble. Rich and Strange is an early sound film from Hitchcock, which carries many hallmarks of the silent era, not least that most of the film has little dialogue, including the long opening sequence which introduces us to Fred's life.
