Judith Goddard's videos release an intimacy completely at odds with what passes for that quality in domestic television. Goddard's work is an elegant and imaginative expression of an interiority – seen in terms of the spatial and compositional aspects of the video image itself, and of the emotional resonances of specific forms and objects.
